    Our core modules

Utilising a combination of psychological tools reinforced by highly effective, martial
arts-based physical elements, PRS creates streetwise self-confidence in its students.

Key to this is our four pillars of education:

    Environmental Awareness

    • What is going on over there?
    • Who are those people and what are they doing?
    • Am I staring?
    • Is that person angry?
    • Do I look confident?
    • Is my phone on show?
    • Can I hear what is going on around me?
    • Are those people looking at me?
    • Am I being followed?
    • Where are the exits?

    Physical
    Security

    • I know what a push and a shove feels like, and how I can safely maintain my balance
    • I have practised defending against punches and slaps
    • If my clothing or arms are grabbed I know how to release the grip
    • If my hair is grabbed and pulled I can resolve the situation
    • I know how to fall safely and defend against a standing attacker
    • If I am being held on the floor I have practised ways to escape

    Verbal and Physical Management

    • I appear confident to other people (even though I might not feel it)
    • I understand the stages of a verbal escalation to a violent activity
    • I have practised creating distance calmly between myself and my aggressor
    • I am aware of how my brain reacts to situations
    • I understand how I can prepare my body for fight or flight

    Violence
    Reduction

    • I have strategies to recognise, de-escalate and exit aggressive social situations
    • I can manage personal safety in new relationships, including online activity or when meeting someone for the first time
    • I understand my rights in relation to harassment, including online and stalking
    • I can evaluate the dangers and consequences of being involved in gangs
    • I can manage my personal safety in relation to travel

Classes at PRS are conducted in an atmosphere of mutual respect and support. Our students are made to feel safe and comfortable at all times, helping them relax into and focus fully on their training from the first session.

We can deliver either a large group lecture format or limited group size training, depending on requirements.
